This easy ranch dip and seasoning will be so simple and flavorful, you’ll never reach for the packets at the store ever again.
I have made this ranch dip seasoning more times than I can count, and the reason is that it’s quick and tastes so good! You can add this seasoning to just about anything and it will add so much to each dish in your kitchen.

Why You Need This Recipe
You have all the ingredients already! – I promise. A lot of these spices are probably already in your kitchen. If they aren’t, they are great staples to have on hand.
It’s Healthy and Fast – Using just sour cream or homemade sour cream, and simple spices means you know exactly what is in this dip.
Cost Effective – Seasoning packets at the grocery store don’t exactly cost an arm and a leg, but over time they add up!
Tips
- You can always make a double batch of the dry ingredients blend and store it in an air-tight container. Having pre-made, homemade spices in the pantry is always so helpful.
- Use this as a dry rub on chicken or pork chops.
- Add this on top of pizza crust with a little bit of olive oil. So good!

What to Pair with the Ranch Dip
This ranch dip is the perfect addition to a veggie platter. It is such a kid-friendly way to get more veggies in!
I’ve also added this to homemade ranch dressing. Its so tasty over salads or as a dipping sauce for fries!
Tools You May Need
Spoon
Small bowl or ramekin

Ingredients
Here is everything you need to make this easy ranch dip and seasoning:
Sour cream – I’ve also used greek yogurt and cottage cheese. If you blend the cottage cheese it will turn out thick and creamy. It’s delicious and has less of a tang than greek yogurt.
Salt – The best salt ever.
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Power
Dill

How to Make Easy Ranch Dip and Seasoning
Scoop three generous tablespoons of sour cream into a small bowl or ramekin.
Add all of those tasty spices to the sour cream.

Storage
This easy ranch dip can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. I do not recommend freezing it.
The seasoning mix can be stored in an air tight container in your spice drawer for about 1 – 3 months.
